Palm Valley announces plans for its new Surf and Golf Course Resort on the Gold Coast

Set to open in 2027 at Parkwood International Golf Club, Palm Valley will be Australia’s first integrated golf and surf resort
May 8, 2025

There’s been no shortage of rumours around this one — and while it’s felt like a long time coming, signs are pointing to Palm Valley Surf Park finally becoming a reality. Initially rumoured to be opening around mid-2027, this ambitious $300 million project is backed by three-time world surfing champion Mick Fanning.

The plans are nothing short of huge: a next-generation Endless Surf wave pool designed for all abilities, an 18-hole golf course, a high-performance surf centre, a beach club, a brewery, and more than 200 residential apartments. It's aiming to be much more than just a surf spot — the vision is for a full lifestyle destination where elite athletes can train for events like the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, and visitors can chase waves, play a round of golf, or just relax beachside. If it all comes together, Palm Valley could set a new benchmark for surf park experiences in Australia and beyond.
